From 2011 to 2019, the number of viewers of the FIFA Women's World Cup matches in Sweden fluctuated but increased overall. While nearly five million Swedes watched the World Cup in 2011, the number declined a little four years later. However, during the latest World Cup in 2019, nearly six million viewers followed the women's national team. This was the highest number of viewers of women's soccer ever recorded in Sweden.
