Total number of new books published in Chile 2015-2021, by genre
Between 2015 and 2021, around 53.77 thousand new books were published in Chile, of which 23.1 thousand (or 43 percent) consisted of literature. Education and social sciences-related titles amounted to around five thousand and 4.9 thousand, respectively. In 2021 alone, however, the top three genres in the Chilean book market were literature, general non-fiction, and social sciences.
