Soccer interest levels in the U.S. 2020, by ethnicity
Despite being one of the most popular sports in the world, the level of interest in soccer in the United States still remains relatively low. During a 2020 survey, 7 percent of white respondents stated that they were very interested in soccer, while 55 percent of respondents from the same category stated that they had no interest in the sport at all.
