Brazil: territory area 2019, by land use

As of January 2019, more than 64 percent of the surface area in Brazil represented areas protected by legislation, including legal reserves, conservation units, indigenous land, cities and other public utilities. At that point in time, almost 29 percent of the land in the country was destined for agricultural production, while another 6.7 percent were available for agricultural activities.
