Brazil: share of employment in agriculture 2010-2019

The participation of the agricultural sector in Brazil's total employment has been consistently decreasing since 2010. As of September 2019, the sector represented less than 9.3 percent of jobs in the country, down from a participation of more than 16 percent in 2010. The value added by the agricultural sector in 2018 represented 4.36 percent of Brazil's gross domestic product (GDP).
