Length of state highways in Andhra Pradesh India FY 2003-2019
At the end of fiscal year 2019, the length of state highway in Andhra Pradesh in India was around 13 thousand kilometers. There was a major decrease in the state highway length in fiscal year 2014 due to the creation of the new state of Telangana. Controlled by the state governments, the highways join the state capitals to district headquarters and to other important towns through connections with national highways. In the past three decades, the length of state highways across the south Asian country has doubled.
