People living with HIV in Latin America 2013-2020
In 2020, the number of people living with HIV in Latin America amounted to 2.1 million, up from an estimated two million patients a year earlier. Overall, the number of people found to be HIV positive in the region increased during the depicted period. This figure has been slowly increasing since 2013, when the number of people infected in the region added up to 1.7 million.
