Remittances for overseas real estate investment South Korea 2018, by country
According to an analysis of remittances in South Korea in 2018, the top destination country for remittances related to overseas real estate investment by South Koreans was the U.S., making up around 32 percent of the total number of remittances. After the U.S. were Malaysia and Vietnam, and together the top three countries make up around 80 percent of the total. In addition, around 65 percent of the remittances were made by people in their 40s and 50s.
