Average value of remittances for overseas real estate investment in South Korea 2018
According to an analysis of remittances in South Korea in 2018, the top destination country for remittances related to overseas real estate investment by South Koreans was the U.S., with the average value of remittances per person amounting to nearly 977 thousand U.S. dollars. After the U.S. was the U.K. with an average value of approximately 651 thousand dollars per person, and Canada with approximately 504 thousand dollars per person. In addition, around 65 percent of the remittances were made by people in their 40s and 50s.
