India: economic contribution of wheat

Wheat accounted for about 1.34 trillion Indian rupees to the Indian economy in financial year 2020. Wheat's gross value of output had been steadily increasing over the recent years. Paddy was the largest contributor to cereal production GVO within agriculture in the south Asian country, followed by wheat.
