Reference points for harassment in the electoral campaign in Denmark 2019, by gender
In a 2019 survey on experienced harassment and threats in the last parliamentary electoral campaign in Denmark, the biggest share of the harassed candidates stated that the harassment or threat was related to their political opinion. What is more, the second most common reference point of harassment for women was harassment based on their gender. 22 percent of the women, and zero percent of the men, stated that they were harassed on grounds of their gender.
