All across Brazil, international airports register some of the highest air passenger traffic of the year during Carnival season. Air passenger arrivals and departures at the airport of Congonhas, located in the city of São Paulo, is expected to reach 427 thousand in the 2023 edition of Carnival. Meanwhile, the Santos Dumont International Airport, in Rio de Janeiro, is predicted to have an air passenger traffic of approximately 256 thousand passenger arrivals or departures.
