Market share of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) in South Korea 2015-2019
Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) made up a very small portion of the South Korean automobile market, accounting for only 0.2 percent in 2019. They are grouped together with battery electric vehicles (BEV) and called electric cars. Altogether there were over 55 thousand electric cars registered with the authorities in Korea in the same year.
