As of November 2023, the most popular video on YG Entertainment's YouTube channel was the official music video of its boy group BIGBANG's "HARU HARU", with nearly 189 million views. Artists BIGBANG and 2NE1 dominated YG's official YouTube channel viewership numbers, while popular girl group BLACKPINK’s separate YouTube channel has millions of subscribers and billions of views.

K-pop legends BIGBANG

BIGBANG is a four-member boy group that debuted in 2006 during the so-called second generation of K-pop. The group, as well as some of its members individually are considered among the most influential musicians both domestically and across Asia. "HARU HARU" is one of their most famous songs, and was also part of their Japanese promotions. It is standard practice to have an official Japanese debut a few months or years after first debuting in South Korea. In 2022, YG Entertainment’s sales revenue in Japan amounted to around 19.6 billion South Korean won.

While BIGBANG reigned as kings of the K-pop scene for many years, the company has since debuted several more successful acts. Their four-member girl group BLACKPINK debuted in 2016 and quickly became one of the best-selling female K-pop acts, selling around 12 percent of all albums by a female artist in South Korea in 2022. All members have also successfully debuted solo.
