Coronavirus and music listening in the U.S. 2020, by generation
According to a study conducted in late March 2020, Millennials were the most likely group to listen to music more as a result of the coronavirus outbreak in the United States, with 58 percent saying that their music consumption would likely increase, compared to 25 percent of Boomers. Music consumption was more likely to increase than podcast consumption or book reading, and streaming TV shows was also expected to be a popular pastime for those practicing social distancing or self-isolating at home.
