Sheep and horse breeders are the French farmers who on average have the lowest wages. In 2017, they received 620 euros net per month (before tax). As a reminder, in 2020, the poverty line in France was estimated at 50% of the national median income, i.e. 867 euros for a single person.
Winegrowers was the best paid in the agricultural sector in France. In 2017, they received on average 2,790 euros per month.
