The total amount wagered in the online gambling market in Italy increased in 2021 over the previous year. Overall, card games and fixed odd games recorded the highest figure in 2021. That year, the amount wagered by players on these online games totaled roughly 47.5 billion euros, rising from around 33.2 billion euros in 2020. Sports betting reported the second-highest figure, as the amount wagered added up to nearly 12 billion euros in 2021.
