Number of wine producers in Poland 2010-2023

In the 2022/2023 season, there were 425 wine producers in Poland. In the observed period, there was a total increase of 405 new wine producers since the 2010/2011 season.

 Poland’s regional wine kingdoms

     When looking at the emerging number of wine producers, it can be noted that wine manufacture is becoming an increasingly popular activity in Poland. This is especially true for investors situated in the Malopolskie region, which constitutes the country’s highest number of total wine producers. Located in the south of Poland, Malopolskie voivodeship is also the undisputed leader in terms of vineyards number – reaching as many as 64 planting fields in 2020. However, despite the region’s popularity among Polish wine producers, the largest wine-growing area is located in western Poland, in the Lubuskie voivodeship.  

Wine production in Poland

     Since the last decade, both white wine production and red wine production have maintained an upward trend, except for 2018 – the year witnessed a drastic decrease in wine production in both categories. In 2019, the most significant white wine volume was produced in the Zachodniopomorskie voivodeship in northwestern Poland. At the same time, the Lubuskie region manufactured the largest volume of red wine.
