Share of children with registered birth in Nigeria 2018, by area

As of 2018, the percentage of children whose births were registered with the civil authorities was significantly higher in urban areas than in rural areas of Nigeria. In total, the birth registration share in Nigerian urban areas equaled to about 60 percent, whereas in rural areas it was roughly half as high.
