Yellow dust that impacts the air quality in South Korea originates from China and the Mongolian deserts, and usually blow into the country during the spring time, although it could also occur in the winter. Extreme cases of yellow dust could cause respiratory problems and even led to the temporary closing of schools or cancellation of flights in some cases.
