Indonesia: coffee drinkers breakdown by type 2019

A survey on coffee drinkers in Indonesia in 2019 found that around 24.8 percent of the respondents stated that they were social drinkers, meaning that they only drink coffee when they were hanging out with friends. In recent years, cafe culture has started to take hold in Indonesia, especially among the young, urban population. As a majority-Muslim nation, cafes are the ideal and preferred place for youngsters to hang out.
