Identifying the main sources of CO2 emissions is an important step for a company wanting to reduce its carbon footprint. In 2019, half of Chanel's footprint was generated by two sources: raw materials (26 percent) and transport of finished goods (24 percent). The third biggest category was other goods and services, which includes investments in capital goods and consulting services, accounting for 14 percent of Chanel's carbon footprint.
