Rummy is a widely-known card game in which the ultimate goal is to form matching sets of cards in groups of three or four of a kind, as well as sequences of three or more cards that has the same suit. As with all games, players typically need elements of both skill and luck. However, some games are known for needing more skill than others. In a 2020 survey conducted by YouGov, 38 percent of respondents in the United States stated that rummy was a game of skill rather than luck. In contrast, 24 percent of respondents believed that rummy was a game of luck.
