Global crude steel production by region 2019-2020

Global steel production was lower in the first half of 2020 compared to the first half of 2019. Less crude steel was recorded in all regions of the world. China, the world's largest producer of crude steel, was one of the few countries to see an increase in production despite the economic shock caused by the COVID-19 crisis.
