As of June 2020, there were around 23.93 thousand units of electric vehicles sold in South Korea. According to EV-Volumes, the cumulative sales of battery and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles in South Korea were approximately 115 thousand units since 2012, which was the first year in which electric vehicle sales were recorded.
