Mega venture capital rounds by sector Brazil 2020

During the first semester of 2020, Brazil's startup market received a total of 32 mega venture capital investment rounds. The sector with the largest amount was FinTech, with seven (or about 22 percent) of all mega investment rounds. Brazilian FinTech startups were also able to raise over one billion Brazilian reals a year prior, during the the first six months of 2019. FinTech was followed by transportation with five mega investment rounds held in the first half of 2020.
