COVID-19: share of re-opened food venues in Great Britain 2020, by region

Across Great Britain, the majority of food and drink venues, including bars, cafes and restaurants, had re-opened following lockdown in August 2020. In the North East over 80 percent of venues had re-opened to visitors, while London was at 76.8 percent capacity. Foodservice venues were ordered to close in the United Kingdom in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, and were allowed to re-open in July.
