Share of annual expenditure on cigarettes and tobacco by province 2018
In 2018, the share of annual expenditure on cigarettes and tobacco in Lampung was about 7.3.percent and was expected to decrease to seven percent by 2030. Indonesia is one of the largest tobacco markets in the world. To combat the high rate of smoking, the Indonesian government had increased the tax on cigarettes and tobacco in 2020.
