Coronavirus impacting the industry outlook of lease companies in the Netherlands 2020

At the height of the coronavirus crisis in 2020, car lease companies in the Netherlands were very pessimistic about both their recent proditability and their future revenues. Dutch car lease companies were asked about their revenue forecast and recent profitability on a quarterly basis in 2020, and at the start of Q2, nearly all respondents predicted a decline in revenue in the coming quarter. At the same time, approximately 70 percent of Dutch lease companies reported a decline in profits compared to the last quarter of 2019.
