During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in 2020, a survey was conducted in the United States in November to determine when the public would be comfortable going out to eat at a restaurant or cafe. The majority of respondents, 27 percent, indicated that they would be comfortable going out to eat within the next two weeks. Meanwhile, 26 percent of respondents indicated that they would not be comfortable going out to eat for over six months, showing a divide in public comfort levels.
