
Cereal production in North Africa 2021, by country
In 2021, the production of cereals in Egypt amounted to over 22 million metric tons, making the country the leading cereal producer in North Africa. Morocco and Sudan followed with around 10.45 million and 5.7 million metric tons of cereal production, respectively. On the other hand, Libya recorded the lowest levels of cereal production among the countries of the North African region.
