In 2020, Barcelona was rated as the most traffic jam prone city in Spain, according to the latest studies. Traffic jams in the Catalan capital increased the travel time by 22 percent compared to uncongested traffic. Spain's capital, Madrid, featured a congestion level of 15 percent during the same period.
