In 2019, the export value of pharmaceutical products from South Africa amounted to an approximate value of 434 million U.S. dollars. This was a increase in value in comparison to the preceding year, when roughly 426 million U.S. dollars of the products were exported. Furthermore, Namibia was one of the main trade partners of South Africa in terms of pharmaceutical exports with a share of just over 25 percent.
