COVID-19 impacts on layoffs among businesses Vietnam 2020, by ownership
In 2020, about 35 percent of the surveyed domestic private enterprises in Vietnam revealed that they laid off their employees due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. By comparison, around 78 percent of the surveyed FDI firms in the country reported that they still maintained their employed workforces during the pandemic.
