
Value of FDI inflows MENA 2019-2020, by region
The value of foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region in the period between January to July dropped from 22.7 billion U.S. dollars in the 2019 to about 18.1 billion U.S. dollars in 2020 post the COVID-19 pandemic. The global oil demand dropped significantly in April 2020 which worsened the economic situation of the region.
