COVID-19 impacts on layoffs among FDI firms Vietnam 2020, by industry
In 2020, among the surveyed FDI enterprises in Vietnam, 55 percent of firms in the information and communication sector laid off their employees due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This was followed by the leather and garments production sectors. Overall, around 22 percent of FDI firms participating in the survey reported having to lay off employees that year.
