Breakdown of desired destinations for renters in the U.S. 2021
Among renters looking to move between rentals in the United States in 2021, a majority of 48 percent of respondents preferred to stay in the same city as this allows them to find better housing conditions without undergoing drastic changes. A large percentage of respondents also wanted to move to a new city (17 percent), while 14 percent were looking to move to a smaller city.
