In August 2022, the industrial electricity price in Brazil averaged 695 Brazilian reals per megawatt-hour. In comparison to the same month of the previous year, the South American country's industrial electricity rate decreased by 13.7 percent. In the period of consideration, figures peaked in September 2021, at 894 reals per megawatt-hour, and reached the record low in April 2019, at 628 reals per megawatt-hour.
