In the United Kingdom Volvic was the leading bottled water brand in 2023, generating sales of just over 208 million British pounds. Evian and Highland Spring were the next leading brands that year.

Bottled water consumption

Bottled water consumption in the UK was increasing until 2018 when it peaked at just under three billion liters. Since then, bottled water consumption has decreased by over 400 million liters. As of 2022, it started grewing again and reached 2.8 billion liters.Mineral water holds the majority of the bottled water market at almost 65 percent, followed by table water. Volvic is also a leader for flavored water. The company’s brand Touch of Fruit was the most popular flavored water in the UK in 2022.

Volvic and Evian are both waters imported from France and the country is the leading importer of bottled water into the UK. In terms of exports, the leading destination for UK bottled water is Ireland, followed by China and the Netherlands.
