Cat food sales in the European Union 2016-2025, by type
In the European Union (EU-28), wet cat food has the highest sales value compared to other types of cat food. The sales of wet food in 2020 was about 6.9 billion U.S. dollars. That same year dry food sales were only about 3.7 billion U.S. dollars. In 2025, the sales of cat treats and mixers are expected to be about 1.4 billion U.S. dollars.
