As of November 2021, female shoppers accounted for around 57.5 percent of China's live commerce users. In comparison, female users only made up around 51 percent of China's traditional e-commerce users. The same source also indicated that around 88 percent of Xiaohongshu (also known as Red or Little Red Book) users in China were female.
