The highest risk-weighted assets (RWA) among the 15 largest banks in the United States as of the second quarter 2022 was of JPMorgan Chase, with around 1.63 trillion U.S. dollars. Risk weighted assets are used to calculate capital ratios of banks, such as common equity tier 1 (CET1) capital ratio, where the bank's tier 1 capital is divided by its total risk-weighted assets. The bank in the U.S. with the highest CET1 capital ratio in 2022, TD Bank, had risk-weighted assets amounting to 202.6 billion U.S. dollars as of the second quarter 2022.
