Among the ten largest banks in the United States, based on revenue, Capital One had the highest return on assets (ROA) in 2021, reaching 2.9 percent, followed by Goldman Stanley. The lowest ROA was reported by the Bank of Ney York Mellon, at 0.73 percent. JPMorgan Chase, the bank with the highest revenues in the United States, had a ROA of 1.3 percent, and ranked fourth.
