Largest green bonds issuers in China 2021
In 2021, China became the second largest green bond issuing country. The biggest issuer in the country was the China Development Bank, a state-owned enterprise based in Beijing, with 6.35 billion U.S. dollars worth of green bonds issued in 2021. China Three Gorges, a state-owned power company, was the third largest issuer in China, at 3.1 billion U.S. dollars.
