Volume of heat pump sales in Germany 2001-2022
The volume of heat pumps sold in Germany has been steadily increasing during the past years, growing by roughly 180,000 units from 2019 to 2022. Heat pump sales peaked in 2022, when roughly 281,000 units were sold. Most of the heat pumps in operation in Germany were aerothermal, while the geothermal ones constituted about a third of the total.
