In 2022, around 773.7 thousand environmental bonus applications after buying an electric car in Germany were filed by companies, while roughly 658.8 thousand were filed by private individuals. The German federal government grants an environmental bonus for the purchase (purchase or leasing) of electric vehicles if they are being registered for the first time and the net list price of the basic model does not exceed 65 thousand euros.
