ITO (information technology outsourcing) was China's second largest offshore service outsourcing category in 2022, making up more than 41 percent of the total execution value. The share of ITO saw a gradual decrease since 2016, whereas the percentage of KPO (knowledge process outsourcing) climbed from 36.5 percent in 2016 to 42.6 percent in 2022.
