Hong Kong's commercial service imports amounted to 61 billion U.S. dollars value in 2021. Slightly affected by the 2008 financial crisis, the import value dropped and bounced back afterward. Hong Kong is one of the most service-oriented economies in the world, with service sector accounting for more than 90 percent of the GDP.
