Flooding risk index in Europe 2022, by leading country
As of 2022, Serbia was the European country most exposed to flood risk, with an index score of 8.9. The physical risk index is based on the estimated number of people exposed to this type of event per year. Russia ranked second, with a risk index score of 8.4 points. Meanwhile, Bangladesh and Vietnam were the countries most exposed to floods worldwide.
