According to a survey conducted in May 2022, 41 percent of adults in the United States aged 55 years and older had never heard of the metaverse. Additionally, just over a quarter of respondents aged 13 to 24 years had a very or somewhat positive of the metaverse, and 21 percent had a neutral opinion of it. Furthermore, around 30 percent of all respondents had a very or somewhat negative view of the metaverse.
